Hijriah Islamic New Year holiday, my family and I went to Bali, Indonesia at Sept 29 - Oct 3, 2008. We stayed in Kuta Beach, 4 nights in Harris Hotel and 1 night in New Arena Hotel.

Sept 29
We arrived in Ngurahrai Airport about 7.00 p.m, so we just had dinner, walked around, and sleep..

Sept 30
We played and took a lot of photos at Kuta Beach all day and saw a monument for remaindering of bomb at Bali - Oct 12, 2002, at Legian road (near Kuta Beach).

Oct 1
We rent a car and a driver so we could go to another place in Bali. We went to Goa Gajah, Gunung Batur, Tanah Lot, and have dinner in a cafe at Jimbaran.

Oct 2
We spent all day in Kuta Beach again. My sister, my brother, and me took some photos again and we browsed for beautiful and unique shell. we also took a bottle of sand from there..

Oct 3
We went to Ubud and had Babi Guling for lunch. Then we went to Nusa Dua Resort and its beach.

Oct 4
We went to Joger at Tuban road and bought some clothes. Also, we went to Titiles (near Joger too) and bought pig sausage. Night, we went home by Lion Air at 9.50 p.m.

Notes:
1. For Indonesian people: Jangan kaget kalo brasa seperti bukan di Indo.. soalnya banyak bulenya. hehe..
2. Don’t think that the more you look for expensive hotel, the more you get a comfortable room and good service.
3. Go to Kuta beach if you want to take photos from sunrise until sunset. Go to Tanah Lot and Jimbaran if you want to see sunset. Go to DreamLand if you want to see a big ocean wave. Go to Nusa Dua if you want to see sunrise.
4. I recommended you not to stay in Nusa Dua Resort because even the resort is comfortable, but you won’t be comfortable in the beach.
5. Beware from the price in Bali, especially at Kuta and other popular places. Pedagangnya kayak di Mangdu smua boo!
6. Don’t wear short pants if you want to go to Pura, such as Goa Gajah or Pura Besakih.
7. Beware from entering ticket cheating at Pura Besakih and Gunung Batur.
8. I think you shouldn’t go to Pura Besakih if you don’t have much time in Bali, because you will feel disappointed in there. They cheated the entering ticket (I payed Rp 20,000 for 5 persons, and only got 2 tickets!), you have to rent “sarung” for Rp 5000,- if you wear short pant, you can’t enter the main of Pura Besakih without a local guide (and you have to pay them too!)
9. You have to be patient if you want to eat Babi Guling at Ubud, especially when the holiday comes, because the food would come 2 hours later..
10. Don’t stay in New Arena Hotel because it is very expensive with a bad service and a little uncomfortable room.
11. DOn’t forget to bring umbrella, or cap, or sunglasses, and fan.
12. And the important point is.. Stock your money! because you will spend much money for staying and eating..
